Exquisite Tropicals' founder, Laura Trainer, created her company out of a love for working with people and a passion for plants. Exquisite Tropicals provides top quality products and services which enhance the beauty of homes and offices. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with horticultural services which bring beauty, convenience and expertise.

Between the years 1986 and 2003, Laura was employed by corporate interior landscapers in Boston assuming leadership positions in management and sales. During this time she was asked by a few private residential clients to design, install and care for the plants in their homes. In 2000, Laura recognized the need for her horticultural expertise for private residences. In the Spring of 2000 her daughter Eva was born thus Laura named her part time horticultural consulting company Eva & Me. Baby Eva joined Laura on her weekly plant maintenance rounds. Mother and daughter learned a lot from each other during this time.

By 2003, Laura's residential work was expanding and little Eva was on her way to pre-school. Laura decided to leave corporate life which demanded long hours away from her family. Creating Exquisite Tropicals and working out of her home allows Laura to be available to Eva more frequently in the mornings and afternoons when she returns home from school.

Laura brings to her staff and clients the enormous amount of experience and knowledge she gained while working in the Interior Landscaping field. She managed service teams and installation crews. She provided instruction and hands-on training to countless service personnel. In addition, Laura has extensive experience in project management. She successfully used her organizational skills and leadership skills when working on and installing large plants in hotel lobbies, sensitive executive suites and luxurious homes.

Perhaps what Laura is best known for is her integrity. She has built her reputation with clients and colleagues alike with her honesty, fairness and attention to details. Laura will make sure that Exquisite Tropicals maintains integrity in all that we do.

Awards and Recognition:

ALCA Award (Associated Landscape Contractors of America) best-maintained account, COPLEY PLACE. Laura was responsible for the day to day service of this account with City Gardens.

1996 New England Spring Flower Show, best-maintained exhibit. Exhibit sponsored by Stop & Shop, installed and maintained by Rentokil Tropical Plants. Laura was responsible for leading the day to day maintenance of this exhibit.
